Blown Tire on the Road? We Bring the Tire to You
When a tire is shredded, sidewall-damaged, or blown out, it can't be patched — it has to be replaced. We carry almost every common size and bring the right tire straight to you, so you're back on the road without waiting on a flatbed.
Why a Blowout Can't Be Repaired
Not every flat tire can be patched. A blowout causes damage that goes beyond what a plug or patch can fix.
Sidewall Damage
The sidewall flexes constantly as you drive. A cut, bulge, or tear in the sidewall compromises the structural integrity of the tire — it cannot be safely repaired and must be replaced.
Cord or Belt Exposure
When the rubber is worn or torn through to the steel belts or fabric cords underneath, the tire has lost its structural layer. Repair is not an option at this point.
Run-Flat Damage
Run-flat tires driven on after pressure loss often suffer internal damage that isn't visible from the outside. Even if the tread looks intact, the tire may be unsafe to continue using.
Large Tread Punctures
Punctures larger than 6mm in diameter, or those at the edge of the tread near the shoulder, are outside the repairable zone and require replacement.
What to Do If You Blow a Tire on the Highway
Don't Brake Hard
Sudden braking after a blowout can cause you to lose control. Ease off the gas gradually and keep a firm grip on the wheel.
Steer Straight and Slow Down Gradually
Let the vehicle slow naturally. Steer gently to maintain your lane, then signal and move to the shoulder when it's safe.
Get Fully Off the Road
Pull as far onto the shoulder as possible — ideally past the white line. Turn on your hazard lights immediately.
Stay in the Vehicle if It's Safe
On a busy highway, staying inside with your seatbelt on is often safer than standing outside. Call us and we'll come to you.
How to Find Your Tire Size
Your tire size is printed on the sidewall of every tire — it looks like 225/65R17 or P235/55R18. The first number is the width in millimetres, the middle number is the aspect ratio, and the number after the R is the wheel diameter in inches. You can also find the recommended size on the sticker inside your driver's door jamb. When you call us, have this number ready — it helps us confirm we have the right size before we head out.
